Preliminary Interviews

All candidates will be invited for an interview. They must be prepared to answer questions related to their application and project.
Interview duration: 30-45 minutes
Location: Online or On-site at EHT Campus
Shortlisted Candidates Announcement
July
After a thorough review of all applications and interviews by an expert jury, the shortlisted candidates will be selected and announced. The results are informed by email individually.
Training Sessions
August-October
Entrepreneurship Fundamentals, Business plan and Elevator Pitch
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to join training sessions to shape their projects and boost their entrepreneurial skills. The learning materials are blended, including self-paced activities and group activities.
Entrepreneur Challenge Day
Mid-end November
Shortlisted candidates are invited to pitch their project to EHT Paul Dubrule’s board members and external expert panelists.
The winner(s) of the Entrepreneur Challenge is announced at the end of the event. Further details about the award are discussed with the winner(s) during the following month.
1st place = $5,000 + mentorship + networking opportunities
2nd place = $2,000 + networking opportunities
3rd place = $1,000 + networking opportunities
Entrepreneur Challenge winners
In November 2019, we conducted the first EHT Entrepreneur Challenge for our graduates’ network, resulting in a valuable opportunity for ambitious EHT graduates to launch their own business projects and provide them with support during their entrepreneurial journey.
The first winner, Mr. Sam Ang YI, was awarded $5K of funding and mentoring from one of our board members to develop his Permaculture / Homestay Project.
Since then, the ongoing challenging times have brought both creativity and resilience to Mr. YI’s project. Due to his remarkable efforts, domestic tourists have been a vital source of income, providing stimuli to the development of his permaculture project.
The future looks bright for Mr. YI, attracting domestic tourism to his sustainable project while empowering the local community through permaculture practices.
